Our HELIOS range of high-bright displays is suitable for external or internal installation. Systems can be fitted as stand-alone units or integrated within existing or new infrastructure. Displays are available in portrait, landscape, or ‘stretch’ format, and in a range of sizes (from 29″ stretch up to 65″ portrait). All displays feature rich content which is controlled using the Nexus Alpha LPS Display Administration Suite (DAS) which already supports a large number of rail and bus RTI and timetable interface standards. Layout is fully customisable to client requirements.

HELIOS Flex is available in both landscape and portrait configuration, our standard range features panels ranging from 32″ to 65″.

HELIOS Stretch is ideal for shelters where headroom is generally limited. As with the rest of the HELIOS range, indoor and outdoor models are available.

Let’s Brighten Your Day

Our HELIOS range has a proven long-term pedigree, providing exceptional performance. We have been supplying both internal and external units for over 10 years to the public transport sector. Equipped with high-bright, high-resolution panels, and our own smooth-render video processing software, the performance of our units is second to none. Our unique thermal management ensures reliability and longevity. Standard units for external installation come in a unique vandal resistant enclosure.

Control…

Using the Nexus Alpha LPS DAS, clients are in direct control over the content of the displays. As well as presenting multi-modal departure and arrival information (we have supplied systems showing, bus, rail and air, all fully integrated), images and videos can be scheduled for playback using highly configurable show reels.

…and Flexibility

Nexus Alpha LPS is able to match client style guides for the presentation of content to the public (or indeed internally). We have complete control over the display formatting.

In addition, the screen layout can be configured to have zones with different levels of security access. Using this approach, third parties can be given control over part of the display (for example, a local NHS Trust might want to post public health messages), with the core data supply being protected.

Where Headroom is Limited

Our stretch units have all of the features of the standard HELIOS units except they use a different panel format. Stretch displays are more easily accommodated within shelters or above entrances in transport hubs where there is limited space. Despite there being less screen height and area, the Nexus Alpha LPS display software optimises the formatting, so that image and video content can still be displayed without obscuring any core departures and arrival information.

Location & Layout

HELIOS Stretch units are generally installed either within shelters, or on public-facing walls in transport interchanges, with the display layout optimized to maximum the amount of information that can be presented at the same time. Careful positioning of the LCD displays reduces light reflection on the screen, always an issue with LCD technology.

Nexus Alpha LPS has been developing class-leading hardware with astonishingly low power demand and minimal compromise for over 10 years. Our goal is to always push the boundaries of what’s possible using the latest technologies whilst always keeping flexibility and accessibility (DDA compliance with the Disability Act) at the heart of what we do. As well as our more traditional LCD based products, we have developed a wider range of highly versatile, ultra low power hardware that has been proven to operate reliably in the harshest of UK conditions – with systems running 24/7 in the North of Scotland using only solar power. With the best British design and engineering, and working with international partners, we focus on only the highest quality offerings so that you can be sure your products will last for many years to come.
