Connected Information & Media
The Nexus Alpha LPS AERAK supports the display of real-time passenger information, multimedia content and messaging on a wide range of compatible display hardware.
When used with the Nexus Alpha LPS Display Administration Suite (DAS), AERAK allows for flexible data presentation, content management and display configuration to meet specific operational requirements.
AERAK can be supplied for customer installation or supplied and installed by Nexus Alpha LPS. Systems can be configured to meet specific customer requirements and are suitable for both indoor and outdoor environments.
Communications & Security
AERAK units support wired network connections or cellular communications using a roaming SIM. This enables deployments to maintain connectivity across available mobile networks whilst providing secure communication with Nexus Alpha LPS infrastructure.
Security is a key consideration. AERAK establishes a secure VPN connection using the available communications channel, helping to ensure the secure delivery of passenger information, multimedia content and system updates.
As system functionality is delivered through pre-existing Nexus Alpha LPS software rather than externally supplied executable commands, the communication architecture is designed to minimise security risks whilst maintaining reliable remote operation.
Display Capability
AERAK supports the presentation of real-time passenger information, multimedia content, messaging and advertising. Content layouts can be configured to meet specific customer and operational requirements.
Public Transport Data
AERAK supports the display of real-time and scheduled passenger information across a range of public transport applications. Bus, rail and air information can be presented alongside service updates, disruption notices, route information and other operational messages.
High Quality Video & Stills
Using the Nexus Alpha LPS Display Administration Suite (DAS), images, video and other multimedia content can be scheduled for display through configurable playlists. Content can be presented on specific dates, times or locations, allowing future campaigns, service changes and public information messages to be prepared and deployed in advance.
Messaging
Flexible messaging functionality enables operational updates, public information notices and customer communications to be displayed when and where they are required. Messages can be scheduled in advance through DAS, while authorised third-party content can also be presented alongside other information and media content.
